Kiran Jalem, B.E in Civil Engineering, M.Tech & PhD in Remote Sensing from Andhra University, is currently working with Sri Krishna Institute of Public Administration in the Faculty of Disaster Management as Asstt. Professor under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India since May 2007.

As a Course Director & Course Coordinator, he has conducted several Training Programs on Disaster Management at SKIPA, Ranchi in collaboration with NIDM, New Delhi.

Apart from looking after Institutes work entrusted to him from time to time, as a faculty he takes classes on Disaster Management to the trainees who get trained at SKIPA in various Service Cadres like Assistant Engineer Probationers of Road Construction Department, Junior Engineer Probationers of Drinking Water & Sanitation Dept. and State Administrative Probationers etc.

Prior to this, Kiran Jalem was working with Jharkhand Space Applications Center, Ranchi as a Scientist for a year, also worked abroad in Oil Sector for a year. He gained 2 plus years of Research Experience in the fields of Remote Sensing & GIS at Dept. of Geo – Engineering & Delta Studies Institute, Andhra University and 2 plus years of Industrial Project Experience in Applications of GIS and Remote Sensing as a GIS Engineer with RMSI, Lepton Software Export and Research Pvt. Ltd., Delhi etc.
